SDGs

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are our roadmap for sustainable development within our projects.

Sustainable land and forest management, clean energy and landscape regeneration. Healthy forests, soils and biodiversity. Our projects have many positive impacts on communities and development.

The United Nations (UN) framework of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provides a means to map and measure the value added by projects. The SDGs are a roadmap for sustainable global development. They include economic, environmental and social aspects and are part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The goal is to promote global peace and prosperity in a sustainable way.

For us, the ability to track SDG impacts resulting from our projects is of critical importance.
While the primary purpose of climate projects is to reduce carbon emissions, directly contributing to SDG 13 Climate Action, our projects have much broader impacts. Rather than focusing on the number of SDGs, we emphasise their qualitative depth.

Landscape restoration or conservation projects often contribute to SDG 15, while community-focused projects contribute to several SDGs like SDG 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10. They provide critical support to most affected people and areas (MAPA), providing both technical and financial assistance to reduce emissions and adapt to climate change.

For example, our projects focused on energy transition and innovative climate solutions promote new technologies (SDG 7), such as the promotion of low-carbon technologies and renewable energy. This shifts and reduces reliance on fossil fuels, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
